Spice Tours in Zanzibar

Zanzibar is famed for being the spice island due to it’s history of growing and exporting spices to the four corners of the world. The tastes, smells and uses for the spices will surpise you; some are used for treating wounds while others add an extra kick to any meal.

Our spice restaurant located just outside Zanzibar Town will provide the perfect opportunity to see how the spices grow, discover what they taste like (freshly picked from the trees and bushes as you walk round the plantation) and what they have been used for in the past and in modern times.

Before going on your Spice Discovery Tour you will be treated to a meal at the plantation restaurant where you will get to taste some of the spices in action. The tour itself is suitable for all ages, with the majority of the walk being shaded by the plants being grown. Make sure to take your camera with you as there will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way.
